1. Pre-requisites and Entry Requirements for registration of courses
The pre-requisites and entry requirements for courses are clearly defined in the marketing collaterals (Brochures) and Standard Student Contract. The students are fully responsible to ensure that they fulfil the entry requirements for the respective courses that they have entered. The College reserves the right to reject any applications/enrolments without giving any reason whatsoever.
Students are expected to arrive on time for classes and remain throughout for each lesson. Respective staff or teacher will mark the students as late and write down the timing if the students enter the class after 30 mins. (3 times late equivalent to 1 times absent.
International Student attendance requirement is 100%. In the event that his/ her attendance is less than 90%, school will report to ICA. All absentees have to apply leave for being absent from class. The leave must be supported by relevant document. For sick leave, they have to support it with recognized medical leave certificate.
For local students, their attendance must be at least 75% before a certificate of attendance can be issued to them.
Students are advised to attend lessons regularly and even if they skip lessons for one month, the fees must be paid for that month.
For international student, they can fill up ‘Student Leave Form’.
For the part-time student, they must fill up ‘Course Extension Form’.
JE College expects all students to be in class at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the lesson. Late comers will not be given time extension. Students must be present for all lessons every day. They must inform the College and seek the prior approval for any change to routine, such as leaving school early. Students below 18 are not permitted to leave the school early without the prior notice or request by the parents/Guardian. Students must be on time to all lessons.

5. Award Criteria for courses internally developed
At the end of the course, students will have to sit for the completion test. They can check with the administrative staff for assessment details.
i. Language courses / Preparatory course for Admission to Government Schools
– Minimum 75% attendance
– Pass – 50 and above
– Pass with credit – 65 and above
– Pass with distinction – 75 and above
ii. Special Courses (No formal tests)
– Minimum 75% attendance
iii. IT Courses (No formal test except for Speed Typing course)
– Minimum 75% attendance
iv. Certificate/ Diploma/Advanced Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management
v. Diploma/ Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management
vi. Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Business Studies

To be able to obtain the award certificate, students are required to have minimum 75% of attendance and pass grade in all Module Examination.
*Internship / Industrial Attachment programme module – Practical Performance (100%)
6. Registering for Exam
It is the student’s responsibility to register for the External Exam in time. The College is not held responsible if the student registers late for exam and is not allowed to take the exam. Date and time for examination registration and exam are announced on the Examination Notice Board. However, JE College can assist students with the external examination registration.

8. Release of Internal Exam results
